Like the story of many of the teen moms we serve in YoungLives, at 19 years old, I became a mom. I grew up in a single-parent home in an impoverished community in Cleveland, Ohio. Education seemed to be the path out of poverty. Despite many trials and some self-imposed tribulations, with the help of my family and amazing mentor I finished high school, and later graduated from college with my a Bachelor of Science in nursing. I worked as a Nurse for 10 years, and served as a part-time YoungLives coordinator.

In 2014, I heard very clearly from the Lord to enter full-time ministry. I left the security of my job to become the Regional Coordinator for Ohio’s North Coast Region. In 2016, I was appointed YoungLives Eastern Divisional coordinator. Today, I am the married mother of two daughters. I am blessed, challenged, stretched and encouraged daily. I dream of great adventure and purpose for the young women who were once like I was, uncertain and afraid, but with God’s love to lead us on.
